About SUN-AIR Technic

From a small start to international recognition

SUN-AIR of Scandinavia A/S was founded in 1978 by Niels Sundberg, initially focusing on mainly aircraft sales and air taxi operations.

In 1987, the company became a regional airline, and in 1996, SUN-AIR became the first regional operator outside the UK to enter a franchise agreement with British Airways.

SUN-AIR Technic operates today as a business unit within the Sundberg Aviation Group and was originally part of SUN-AIR of Scandinavia A/S.
The rebranded business unit was established on 01 May 2016 following a merger between SUN-AIR’s existing workshops and the acquired company ScanTech.

Headquartered in Billund, Denmark, with branches in Thisted, Denmark and Augsburg, Germany, SUN-AIR Technic provides a full “One-Stop Facility” for aircraft maintenance and component overhaul.

The main goal is to centralize essential services to reduce downtime and logistical challenges for end customers.

Technical expertise with global reach

SUN-AIR Technic specializes in the maintenance of both scheduled and business aircraft.
The workshops manage everything from major aircraft overhauls to landing gear, composite materials, wheels, and brakes.

Spare parts sales and a comprehensive component exchange program form a significant part of the business, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for operators across Europe and worldwide.
